Election Resolution Notice

A mail-in only election for a board seat on the Adams Conservation District will be held on March 2, 2026 at the Adams Conservation District Office located at 118 E Main Avenue, Ritzville, WA 99169. Registered voters who reside within the Conservation District boundary are eligible to vote (view boundary map at adamscd.org). The last day and time that an eligible voter can request a ballot from the District is January 26, 2026 at 5 p.m. Ballots can be requested from Adams Conservation District by phone at 509-659-1553. The voter must account for the time it will take for the ballot to be returned to the district by mail. Ballots returned by mail must be post-marked no later than Election Day, March 2, 2026. Ballots returned by other means must be returned to Adams Conservation District, 118 E Main Avenue, Ritzville, WA 99169 no later than 5 p.m. on Election Day, March 2, 2026. The elected position whose term is expiring is currently held by Curtis Hennings.

Candidates must be registered voters residing in the Conservation District. Candidates are required to be landowners or operators of a farm, based on the current composition of the District board of supervisors. The filing deadline for candidates to file their candidate required information is January 15, 2026 at 5 p.m. Interested candidates must file their candidate required information at the Adams Conservation District, 118 E Main Avenue, Ritzville, WA 99169 no later than 5pm. Candidate required information will be accepted at that location by mail (postmarked no later than January 15, 2026) or by email to chadamscd@gmail.com. Appointed Supervisor Position Notice

A board seat on the Adams Conservation District is available for appointment by the Washington State Conservation Commission. Conservation District board supervisors are public officials who serve without compensation and set policy and direction for the conservation district. An applicant must be a registered voter in Washington State, and may be required to own land or operate a farm. Applicants for appointment positions do not have to live within the district to apply.
